Computrace theft protection available for Android tablets
At the the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Absolute Software has announced that its Computrace Mobile software for tracking stolen devices is now also available for Android tablets. Among the security options available to users is "Device Freeze", a feature that allows users to lock their tablets remotely and display a message on screen. The "geofencing" module enables owners to establish virtual geographical boundaries that, when crossed, will cause the software to issue an alert on the tablet.
