I use mbam and am glad I did today. I had bought a frontend for windows firewall and had MSE installed. Defensewall all of a sudden started logging that System was trying to access port (445 ?). I didn't give it much thought ( not smart on my part) anyway I ended up unistalling the frontend and run a scan with mbam and it found a malware trace in sys. 32 folder. Which I remembered is where the frontend wanted to install and something else that struck me funny was the install file deleted after install. So adding 2+2 in my small mind , I went back to the sight to redownload the file to run a on demand scan with mbam and Bitdefender Trafficlight blocked the site because it contained malware. So in this case my antivirus was useless and the only thing protecting me was DefenseWall. What makes me nervous is I donated to become a registered user and I am sure I changed the installer to trusted. But Defensewall was still fighting to keep me protected despite myself.
