Hi, i wasnt planning on booting from safe mode it was just a query,
just need to know exactly how to boot this disc as when i try nothing happens and the laptop tries to load as normal. im not sure if i have the right boot order and at what point i insert the cd (see my last but one post). many thanks

Boot the computer in Safe Mode. Then open the CD, insert the Kaspersky disc, close the drive. Shudown your computer with the CD in the drive. Wait a minute, then turn the computer on. It should start automatically from the CD.


If it does not, You will need to check the documentation that came with your computer. There is usually a key, or key combo that will give you the boot menu where you can select the order devices are searched for boot info. For many computers, the CD/DVD drive is checked at startup and used for boot if a bootable CD is installed.
