Running from Saturday June 30^th to Sunday July 22^th 2012, the 99^th,
Tour de France will be made up of 1 prologue and 20 stages and will cover a total distance of 3,497 kilometres.

These stages have the following profiles:

• 9 flat stages
• 4 medium mountain stages - one with a summit finish
• 5 mountain stages - two with a summit finish
• 2 individual time-trial stages
• 1 prologue
• 2 rest days

The highlights of the Grand Start in the Province of Li?ge
> Wednesday, June 27: Opening of the reception point and press centre in Bois Saint-Jean (Li?ge's Country Hall) - All?e du Bol d'Air, 13 in 4031 Li?ge (Angleur); opening of the Avant-Tour in the Halle des Foires de Li?ge.
> Thursday, June 28: from 6:30 pm, official team presentation on Li?ge's Place Saint-Lambert.
> Saturday, June 30: from 2:00 pm, individual time trial with start and finish in the Parc d'Avroy
> Sunday, July 1: Stage 1, Li?ge–Seraing (198 km)
