Hi,
My AVG Virus Scan keeps telling me I have Trojan Proxy 5AQ and 5AS in System 32 files asuigg.dll and adarros.dll but cannot remove them.
I've battled with these for 2 weeks and removed them from other folders but they always return even after turning off System Restore.
I'm runing AVG, Zone Alarm, Spybot, Ad Aware, CW Shredder and Hijack This all updated. I would really appreciate any help in removing these viruses.

Before we begin, please be sure that HiJackThis is in its own folder. This will allow us to use backups to restore entries if necessary. Please do not put HiJackThis in a temporary folder, or on the Desktop. I suggest using 'c:\program files\hijackthis\' or C:\HiJackThis\, but any name you choose is fine.

Reboot in normal mode.

did all you said but couldn't find file C:\WINDOWS\System32\window.exe to delete.
However (not sure if relevant) I found I'd had the computer on selective startup to stop wmplayer loading at startup, should wmplayer.exe be in System32?

No, wmplayer is not in your Windows folder. It is in the Program Files folder on its own. Looks like you picked up a new infection, or it was there and was suppresssed.

Before we begin, please be sure that HiJackThis is in its own folder. This will allow us to use backups to restore entries if necessary. Please do not put HiJackThis in a temporary folder, or on the Desktop. I suggest using 'c:\program files\hijackthis\' or C:\HiJackThis\, but any name you choose is fine.
Reboot in Safe Mode* and run HiJackThis. <-- IMPORTANT
Check the following items in HijackThis.
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [xpsystem] C:\WINDOWS\System32\services\wmplayer.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [mswspl] C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked.

Reboot in normal mode.

Did all you said but this time could not find
C:\WINDOWS\System32\services\wmplayer.exe in order to delete it.
I couldn't even find a folder called services in System32.
However for the first time in 2 weeks there doesn't seem to be any sign of the trojans! Am I being naively optimistic here?
