Hello,

Each time that I logon to Windows XP (SP1), Pest Patrol detects an Unknown Trojan, Category: Adware. In file: C:\Program Files\support.com\charter\bin\ssrunscript.exe

When I remove it using PestPatrol, it reports that it is deleted but it again detects it the next time that I logon.

I've downloaded the latest version of Ad-Aware SE. While running it, a VisusScan Message pops up stating that it deleted:
Name: GetAccess.class
In Folder: C:\Documents and Settings\Steve\Local Settings\Temp\AAWTMP\C2087609\GetAccess.class
Detected As: Exploit-ByteVerify
Detection Type: Trojan

Sysbot shows no immediate threats are found.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

The file that Pest Patrol is detecitng appears to be from your ISP (Charter) and is connected to support. Pest Patrol is known for false positives and I believe that is the case here.

Re the detection when running AdAware, is that byte verify being detected by your AV or by Ad-Aware. It is in a temp folder and may be harmless. It probably a result of AdAware using a temporary file to unpack files it is checking.
