HI,
My pc is running at snail pace and I keep having a pop-up window with "mrj" in the top left hand corner pop-up. When I check my list of current programs running, there is something called "project 1" running. Appreciate your help. First:
Reboot in Safe Mode* and run HiJackThis. <-- IMPORTANT Check the following items in HijackThis. (note: If any R* items mark for deletion, do not appear in Safe Mode, re-run HiJackThis in Normal Mode and remove them after you finish removing these items.) R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://au6.hpwis.com/ R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://au6.hpwis.com/ O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [F ma] C:\windows\mrjj.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [=NOI] C:\windows\mrjj.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Configs 32] msgconfigrs.exe O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Microsoft Configs 32] msgconfigrs.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Microsoft Configs 32] msgconfigrs.exe O15 - Trusted Zone: *.media-motor.net O15 - Trusted Zone: *.popuppers.com O16 - DPF: {42F2C9BA-614F-47C0-B3E3-ECFD34EED658} - http://promo.dollarrevenue.com/webmasterex...artload124a.exe O16 - DPF: {7C559105-9ECF-42B8-B3F7-832E75EDD959} (Installer Class) - http://www.tbcode.com/ist/softwares/v4.0/0006_regular.cab O16 - DPF: {8FCDF9D9-A28B-480F-8C3D-581F119A8AB8} (MediaGatewayX) - http://static.zangocash.com/cab/Zango/ie/bridge-c17.cab O16 - DPF: {F00F4763-7355-4725-82F7-0DA94A256D46} (IMDownloader Class) - Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked. While still in Safe Mode*, delete the following: (you may need to show hidden files**) (Files specified without a full path will be located in C:\Windows\ or C:\Windows\System32\) C:\windows\mrjj.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\msgconfigrs.exe *How to Boot into Safe mode: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgen...001052409420406 **Show Hidden and System files and folders: http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html Also, uncheck the boxes for hiding known file extensions and hiding protected operating system files. We want to see it all. When we finish here, it would be a good idea to rehide the protected operating system files but leave the rest to be shown. Reboot in normal mode Run HiJackThis again and post a new log in this thread. Second: Please download SilentRunners from here: http://www.silentrunners.org/Silent%20Runners.zip Unzip it to the desktop and double-click on it. If you get any kind of warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run. When the scan is finished, a message will pop up and a logfile will have been created on the desktop. Please post the entire contents of this logfile for me to see. -------------------- Happiness ain't a thing in itself--it's only a contrast with something that ain't pleasant. Mark Twain |

That looks good. Nothing in the Silent Runners log and the HJT is clean with two minor exceptions. The instructions for them follows. When you post back with the new log, also advise if there are any issues outstanding.
Check the following items in HijackThis. (note: If any R* items do not appear in Safe Mode, re-run HiJackThis in Normal Mode and remove them after you finish removing these items.) R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = \blank.htm R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = \blank.htm Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked. Reboot in normal mode Run HiJackThis again and post a new log in this thread. -------------------- Happiness ain't a thing in itself--it's only a contrast with something that ain't pleasant.
