Digital Patrol 5.0 now fully integrates with Windows Security Center

Digital Patrol 5.0 is a PC security suite with an extensive library of over 100'000 viruses, trojans, worms and other malware, updated every 24 hours, including weekends and holidays. It's also one of the first anti-spyware solutions to offer its user full integration with Windows XP Security Center, which drastically increases level of protection to almost 100% and effectively eliminates false alerts.

The new version of Digital Patrol was partially redesigned to simplify program and make it more understandable to regular folks who are not familiar with computers beyond the On/Off button. Now users can scan files directly from Windows Explorer and take advantage of Digital Patrol's advanced features without getting into technical details.

The major advantage of Digital Patrol over the industry giants like Symantec and McAfee is the fact that this program removes trojan files that are locked for writing (such as DLLs in use) and active trojans even when they are blocking the file - something that most popular anti-virus solutions are often unable to do. The program has proven to be one of the best solutions against worms and backdoor exploits.

Digital Patrol also uses own algorithm to perform heuristic analysis to identify new, previously unknown malicious software that's not in the database. This feature is increasingly important because most malicious viruses quickly "mutate" to make detection more difficult.

The program also scans system memory and autorun areas to identify malicious software that is running, and examines archives (ZIP, RAR, ARJ, Microsoft CAB, InstallShield CAB) and mailbases (Outlook Express, TheBat!, PlainMain) for threats.

Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP, 2003.
