I'm testing DefencePlus on XP at work. seems to work fine *except* my work office :( runs something called SharpDesk. One of its functions (of which I'm aware) is that user can scan (print/scan) a paper document over LAN as a pdf file to individual user's desktops. (something we need for work from time to time). SharpDesk is an autorun at boot, (I inherited the work XP from prior user) and I'm sure it was set up by IT department. DP alerts that SharpDesk, or more specficially sdftp.exe is an "attack" and DP gave it a high level. I have not fully tested it yet but I assume that if someone on the LAN tries to scan a doc to my desktop that DP is (will be) blocking that. do I simply remove sdftp.exe from the alert window, or show I change its level to "low." No offense intended but the English translation of the DP help file seems somewhat vague to me. akso wondering if sdftp.exe is doing something else like monitoring user's activities ?? I don't have the DP alert clipboard output with me or I'd send it along. so 2 questions, should I be concerned that DP alerts to SharpDesk, and exactly how is the best way for DP to treat SharpDesk as an allowed / safe application? so far liking both DP and DW.
