and welcome at GSFs. We hope you'll enjoy our small community. Before you follow up Nebon's advices, please tell us more about your computer. We need details about:
1. the operating system which is in use
2. the patch level of 1.
3. details about that ASUS W3 computer (which I frankly said don't know about so much)
We need these information to give you a good support, ok ;) ?
Greetz and thanks in advance for your help

Since you have not given much info..determine if any of these apply to you.
1. Are you using Active Desktop ?
I had the same error but a different problem. My problem was caused by using Active Desktop. The Active Desktop was using a HTML page that could no longer be found. When I changed the Active Desktop page to an existing file, the problem disappeared. Hope this helps. Regards, Michael.
2. Did you recently install or roll back IE7
Are you still getting the errors? If so, try this,
Solution is to delete the key named {C90250F3-4D7D-4991-9B69-A5C5BC1C2AE6} in the registry. To automate this, here is a small REG file - IE7betakey.reg. http://windowsxp.mvp.../ie7betakey.reg
Download the REG file and save to Desktop. Right-click the file, and then choose Merge.

3. Have you recently install a update for IE ?
After installing the Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer [905915], the following problems may be seen when using Internet Explorer:
Multiple browser windows open when you double-click an internet shortcut
When you type the URL in the Address bar and click Go, the website may open in a third-party browser, or opens in a new instance of Internet Explorer
Long delay occurs after clicking a hyperlink
Double-clicking the Internet Shortcuts cause the following error message:
Windows cannot find '(null)'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search.

4. Did you recently install a wireless Utility ?
I had the same problem after installing the Intel PROSET wireless utility, it seems to have inserted a null value into the registry under the run key.
I was getting the problem when logging on which is why i started troubleshooting startup services, reg keys etc...
i ran msconfig and removed the null value from the run key. hey presto its now sorted.
5. Is this an issue with your rundll32.exe ?
I found a really easy way to fix this problem. Just download and run teh SirCam removal tool at http://www.symantec....moval.tool.html , although the computer doesn't have sircam, it will replace the rundll32.exe, thus making your computer opperate correctly again.
This was happening on my PC. Got some virus I think. After reading all of these replies/message board, I decided to investigate my rundll32.exe file. Well I had two of these dll files, one was from an earlier windows edition and one was what is on my PC now- Windows XP. I right clicked on the 'old' rundll32.exe version and went to 'properties', then I selected the 'compatibility' tab and made it compatible with the version 'windows 2000.' All of my desktop icons and start menu programs work now, instead of coming up with that annoying '(null)' error. Try it it may work for you. Good luck.

I had similar problems. I had Firefox and IE on the same computer and began getting ?Windows cannot find null? warnings. Mozilla stopped working completely and IE would open correctly to my homepage but then would only open a blank page and lock up. I tried all of the recommended fixes but nothing worked. Finally,I opened the administrative tools and checked under ?System?, needless to say, there were lots of red flags under IE. Double clicking the file gave me the Windows help center.
It said something about not finding IE7. At one time I had IE7, but had reload Windows from the original disk after another failure, and it re-installed the version of IE that came with the computer (IE6). Once I checked my version of IE and reloaded IE7, the problem disappeared
