Hi,
I am currently trying out Defensewall and was wondering what, if anything else, I would need (besides my firewall) active to keep my system secure.
I am admittedly a novice when online security is concerned, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest an anti-virus. Personally I use Avast! with their web scanning component. You should have an antivirus to help you "clean up" properly should you be "hit" but I think DW is solid as a rock :)

Thanks for the response.
I am now running DW with Comodo PF and AVG Free. I have Counterspy v2, but use it only for on-demand.

There are four major safety systems you need: firewall to control your Internet connections and traffic, AV to block already known malware, HIPS to block or isolate unknown by AV malware and backup hard drive to prevent your data from being lost in case if your hard disk will die. DefenseWall HIPS is just an HIPS part of your defense, so, according your signature you need backup hard drive.

Thanks for the reply, Ilya-
I currently use NERO BackItUp to back up everything. Would you suggest something else?
