Are you a Security Wizard?

Think you know security? You might want to think again!

Experts say that computers with Internet access are attacked by hackers on average every 39 seconds. Are you sure you’re doing enough to protect your personal data?

The security experts at Agnitum have put together a ‘Top 15’ of Internet security questions you should be able to answer correctly if you really want to be safe when you’re online.

You can try again and I'm sure you'll get higher score. 19 is not bad. I tried and at first I got 27 out of 30 and when I try again to hopefully get 30.. I can't. I received 25 out of 30 instead.

I will not open links in email with exe if I am not doing testing so I cannot earn their 100% score LOL

25/30. Unfortunately it does not tell you where you went wrong.

Heya

I second Donna's words. When I receive an email not knowing who's the sender I'm deleting it immediately.
I try to be carefully with all kind of received emails/attachements, accessing websites or FTP servers, orientating onto my own Security Rules.
Using an emailer (Thunderbird) with some usefull add-ons, browsers except MS IE (Opera, Firefox) I'm trying to reduce the risk of geting an infection alittle bit more. In addition with OutPost, which helps to mask attachements and in combination with KAV 7.0.0.123 I hope not catching any malware.

hello there.
i know some of these posts are old (2007) or something. but id just like to say that ive tried the security wizard test and got 27/30.
you see ive only been reading about computer security for 3 to 4 months. can anyone tell me if this is a good score and whether i should keep on reading about computer security.

thanks.

Hi Airscape,

I second Udo's thoughts on that one. A very good score. Keep up the reading, looks like its making you a security savvy user.

Have a great day

True but there is a little bar at the top and the level inside moves along if you get a correct answer ... if it is wrong, it does not move.

How did I fair? It's back to the drawing board but not too shabby.

thanks for the comments,

i know that 27/30 on some test, does not put me on par with some of you "expierienced" user.
3 months of reading is nothing really and im just hoping to learn as much as i can about computer security.
maybe then one day i can be on par with those people.
may i also say good job with the forum thumbsup.gif

hi again,
dont know if any one has seen this one but i thought id post it.
i managed 5/5 on the spyware one but theres more like laptop security, phishing scams.
they also shows you if there correct after each question.
sorry if you have seen it.

even if you learn nothing, see what you think.
