Hi Ilya
I have just installed the latest Beta DW3 Firewall and the problem monitoring my networked Epson printer ink levels when 'Inbound' is set to 'Auto' appears to be fixed.

Have you done something to DW3 or is this a coinsidence?

Thanks
guitarman

Hi

I am new to DW. I want to report a bug.

Here is what happened:

I added my web accelerator(nitro) to untrusted list, but because it couldn't access the registry its gui didn't start correctly, I was about to come here and ask about this then suddenly DW put its own process to untrusted list and I couldn't remove or add anything from/to that list afterwards. So I did a restart but 7 stucked at welcome screen and I couldn't do anything except to do a hard restart and uninstall DW in safe mode. Before uninstalling I saved a copy of defensewall_log2.log and dwall_log_file.txt, if they are needed to resolve the issue just let me know.

Yes, you need to send me dwall_log_file.txt.

Currently, moving the mouse cursor over DW's tray icon, the string "DefenseWall Personal Firewall v3.xy" appears in a gray field:
it would be nice if for every process that starts as untrusted can appear a reminder indicating the name of the untrusted process for a defined laps of time (5 seconds,...).

Similarly, I'd like the same information was provided "on the fly" by moving the cursor over DW's tray icon.

What do you think about it?

nobody?

Too talkative? OMG.gif

(obviously, the ex. above is related to the "on the fly" scenario...)

I liked that thought. I look at the numbers in te sandbox and seeing the processes by just hoovering is a bonus.

Best Regards

I think that it is a good idea. It could alert you to something that you were not aware of.

New build is uploaded. It, mostly, improves whitelisting - now on, if the application is allowed to be modified by untrusted, DefenseWall copies it into the "virtualization" folder and only then run it. The function is raw, need your tests.

Yes, sorry, I just forgot to mention because the bypass issue have been solved in 20 minutes as the first task and all the rest time I was dedicated to whitelisting scheme improvements. BTW, I just uploaded new build where whitelisting is more polished.
