Security? The only protection obtained with password protection is the protection against other users of your computer.

do you think it is so marginal to feel free to share a Pc without the risk that other can modify the settings or take decision that appertain to admin/power user?

I simply pointed out the limits of protection. Do not assign the password the virtues it has not. That's all.

I dod not write the password was unnecessary. Some find the password helpful, others not. An administrator can kill DefenseWall password or not
