Hi, I've recently discovered a Trojan, specifically Trojan.Simcss.B. I've searched the web and found some guidelines to delete it involving turning off the system restore feature. You had to access Windows explorer, then right click on My Computer then Properties. It was here where i encountered this message

The procedure entry point RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore could not be located in the dynamic library WINSTA.dll

This is in a box called Rundll32.exe

When the properties menu comes up, there is no System Restore tab. Can anyoe help solve this problem. I have Norton Anti-Virus if thats any help.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Hi Schnell and welcome to the forum flowerz.gif

See here for how to reset your System restore to resolve the problem

Cannot repair, quarantine, or delete a virus found in the _RESTORE or System volume information folder

To reset your restore points, please note that you will need to log into your computer with an account which has full administrator access. You will know if the account has administrator access because you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account.
