Hello,

I am trying to install the CA Personal Firewall 9.0 on a Windows XP Home computer. And i get this error:

System process- License violation

The system has detected tampering with your registered product type.
This is a violation of your software license.Tampering with product type is not permitted.

OK

I contacted their support team who said it's a problem with Windows XP. So, here i am.

Any suggestions and ideas are welcome.

With regards your license please do make sure you enter your user name and password correctly as e-mailed to you as failing to do so will give that error. If you still have problem's you should e-mail the author who will send you another key

I'm of no help - I've had the CA firewall installed and uninstalled on XP Home without any errors/problems.
