I posted this question in another section and did not get any response, so I placed it here hoping for an answer.

I am building a toolkit on a flashdrive and would like to install AVG 7.5 free Anti-virus, spyware and rootkit on a SanDisk 4GB memory stick. When I downloaded the files and then tried to install them onto the flashdrive, the program told me that I could only load it onto a hardrive. Any suggestions as to how I can load these programs, I would like to be able to install the flashdrive and use these programs to scan a machine?

Thanks,
Smitty

PS: any other suggestions/programs that would be great for a toolkit. I am new and just getting my feet wet and would like to have something that I can take with me when I respond to a call.

I would suggest using this tool. It does have AVG antivirus, although the AVG spyware tool hadn't been sorted for the V3.05 release. However there are other good spyware tools and rootkit tools built into this CD.

See this thread about how to get it on a USB stick although the PC will need to be able to boot from USB.
