LoPhatPhuud
You have a lot of infections there.

First:
Please Download CoolWebShredder, from
http://www.merijn.org/files/cwshredder.zip
http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/CWShredder.zip

Extract CWShredder to its own folder,

Reboot in Safe Mode*** and run the program.

Click the 'Fix ->' button.

Make sure you let it fix all CWS Remnants.

Then:
Download the latest version of Ad-Aware at
http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/

After installing AAW, and before running the program, you NEED to FIRST update the reference file following the instructions here: http://www.lavahelp.com/howto/updref/index.html

Now do the following:
- Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Scanning Engine:
check: "Unload recognized processes during scanning."

- Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Cleaning Engine:
Check: "Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."

Press "Scan Now"
- Check option "Use Custom scanning options"
- Check option "Activate In-Depth Scan"
- Press "Select drives\folders to scan"
- Select the active partition which is usually C:

Now press "Next" to let Ad-aware scan your drives...
It will find a number of "bad" files and registry keys.
Right-click in that pane and choose "select all"

Now press "Next" again.
It will ask you whether you'd like to remove all checked items. Click OK.

Finally, close Ad-Aware, and reboot.

That ought to get rid of most of your spyware.

Last:
When you've done all that, restart your computer, re-run Hijack This, and post a fresh log in this thread..
There will be more to do!
Narf
Hi, ive done everything as above, rebooted, and here is the HijackThis log,now.
Thanks so much for your help, by the way.

Before we do anything, please move HiJackThis to a permanent folder. I suggest 'c:\program files\hijackthis\' but any folder other than the Desktop or a temporary folder is fine. This will allow us to use backups to restore entries if necessary

Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

Reboot in Safe Mode and delete the following: (you may need to show hidden files**)
C:\TV MEDIA\ <-- folder
C:\PROGRAM FILES\ezula\ <-- folder

**Show hidden files/folders as per the instructions here http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=190

Also, uncheck the boxes for hiding known file extensions and hiding protected operating system files. We want to see it all. When we finish here, it would be a good idea to rehide the protected operating system files but leave the rest to be shown.

Reboot. (not necessary, but recommended)

Post another HiJackThis log in this thread for final review.
Narf
Hi, ive done as above. I couldnt find ProgFiles/ezula, even after i had made sure all files were shown, so i assume i have deleted it.
I rebooted and scanned again

Thankyou
~Sam

Your log is clean, jsut one item of cleanup left!

Check the following items in HijackThis.
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497}_ - (no file)

Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

To Do:
Also, you're running an outdated and therefore unsafe version of Internet Explorer.
You NEED to upgrade to IE 6.0 SP1 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downlo...sp1/default.asp

(Make sure you get the correct language version for your operating system! ).
Next, go to the Windows Update site, and download and install ALL Critical Updates on offer.

That will fix innumerable bugs, update a large number of important system files, and plug many security holes.

Finally:
To reduce the potential for spyware infection in the future, I strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster and SpyWareGuard and IE/Spyad.

SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard are by JavaCool and both are free programs. SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed and consumes no system resources. SpywareGuard offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.

More info and download is available at:
SpywareBlaster: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
SpywareGuard: http://www.wilderssecurity.net/spywareguard.html

IE/Spyad places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will several impair attempts to infect your system. It is free.

More info and download is available at:
IE/Spyad:

I checked it, and clicked fix, but upon scanning again it was still there. I also tried it in safe mode.

Can anyone help?
Thanks
~Sam

Ok, lets try again. Be sure that ALL browser windows are closed!!!

Then with only HiJackThis open:
Check the following items in HijackThis.
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497}_ - (no file)
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:
Narf

Close IE, copy the bold to Notepad, save as Search.reg (save as 'all files'
, and doubleclick.
Answer 'yes' when prompted to add the contents of Search.reg to the Registry:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search]
"SearchAssistant"="http://ie.search.msn.com/{SUB_RFC1766}/srchasst/srchasst.htm"
"CustomizeSearch"="http://ie.search.msn.com/{SUB_RFC1766}/srchasst/srchcust.htm"
"Default_Search_URL"="http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?prd=ie&ar=iesearch"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchUrl]
""="http://home.microsoft.com/access/autosearch.asp?p=%s"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\main]
"Search Page"="http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?prd=ie&ar=iesearch"
"Search Bar"="http://search.msn.com/spbasic.htm"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\URLSearchHooks]
"{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497}"=""
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\URL]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\URL]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\URL\DefaultPrefix]
@="http://"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\URL\Prefixes]
"ftp"="ftp://"
"gopher"="gopher://"
"home"="http://"
"mosaic"="http://"
"www"="http://"

This will restore the Windows defaults for a whole lot of Search related registry entries.
Restart your computer, and tell us whether that makes a difference.
Narf
Hi, i did as u said, and it added to the registry ok, i scanned and fixed the file, but its still there upon scanning again.

HI Sam and Lo Phat,

I do not have any real bright ideas on that ...

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497}_ - (no file)

But this might help Sam to tell us more on what programs he still might have on that PC.

First.... This persons seems to have successfully removed that R3 entry..

http://computercops.biz/postt30283.html

but there are not many other who have. :(

I see posts out there also that talke about "flashlightsearch"...and some thinking that Sierra Sports game loaded on there computer, PGA Championship golf and the TV Media stuff could be linked to this thing??

I think Sam is getting into the safe mode but just to make sure..

How to get into the safe mode for all OS
