I dont think your security level will affect wether you get pop-ups or not. You may be infected with spyware which causes pop-ups. But you can get free pop-up blockers and some toolbars are intergrated with pop-up blockers. Such as The google toolbar (I use this personally and would recommend it). Here is a link to a site which gives many freeware pop-up blockers. http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/misctools/fwpopblock.html You may want to post your HJT log here: http://gladiator-antivirus.com/forum/index.php?showforum=170 and describe your problem to them. Also it is good to use other broswers other than IE such as Firefox. It may also be a good idea to download some of these free anti-spyware/virus programs.
