I have no idea what is wrong with the current Java but it will not work on any
Pogo.com game requiring the Java software. I uninstalled the latest version because it wasnt working properly when i tried to login on my Scottrade stock account. To remove it I just went to Add/Remove programs and removed it. After I had removed Java i could login to Scottrade. Then I went to java.com and tried to reinstall. When I clicked "Begin Download" it gave me the message below

When I tried to install Active X control it gave me a message box asking if I would like to install it. Once I click it the message box disappears and there is no progress at downloading anything. When I returned to my desktop there was an icon that looks like this containing this text.

I dont know if there is Java installed and nto working, or there is no java at all. I am really confused and have no idea how to fix this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks alot.

Hi Tarheelfan

I would uninstall all kind of JAVA installations properly via add/remove software. Before installing any kind of JAVA software it's recommended to create a system recoery point.

After that I would re-install the latest working release of JAVA and trying the games again.

Note: Have checked the website you told us here.... got a green background only and nothing else.
