I tried GreenBorder and found it to be not as stable or efficient as DefenseWall. So I am returning to DefenseWall and have finally purchased it because my trial expired.
1) So one thing that I do miss was the way which GreenBorder displays "secure" windows-- with the green border painted around the edge. It is very easy to see which windows are protected and which ones are not, even if title bar is too short to see extended letters like - (DefenseWall Status: Untrusted) etc.
I wonder how difficult it would be to implement some similar method to show a visual indicator that a window is Untrusted. It does not have to be an exact copy, maybe it can be a thin red line in the title bar or something like that. I have suggested this to you before and I am wondering what you think of it. This will be especially nice also for IE "Download" windows where Title bar flashes rapidly since progress keeps changing the title bar (Progress .. 5%, 10% 20% etc etc). It would be nice to disable the constant changing of the (DW Status: Untrusted) and replace with a simple thing like colored bar or border.
2) Also I think you need to seriously think about using a new skinning engine to replace current one.. the one you have chosen is very buggy and I get a lot of times gray empty boxes where there is supposed to be list views or buttons, I have to close the GUI and re-open it. It is sometimes annoying. What about just using no special skin? It will use less memory and be more compatible.
thank you for consideration.
btw, I use v1.60 final.
