Just before I left on a project and we hooked up to hi speed ADSL, many in the office including myself began experienceing problems with the ethernet cable not clicking firmly into the back of the D-Link Router model DSL - 300 ADSL Modem.
Now that I am back at work some of my colleagues are on their 3rd router and another on his 4th and all with the same problem and it is our service provider that we get these from and almost all of my colleagues are sick of returning them to the post office after they receive their replacement unit which if lucky lasts at the most 2 months and the problem starts again.
Do some modems simply have connectivity problems like this with the ethernet cable, many cables have been tried and they are not cheap. But the problem persists. It seems that the plastic port that the cable fits into loses a portion where the cable should actually "snap" into???
Any comments, I am just back to work and want to go to the boss about the issue. I don't sit back like the others as I have enough to do without standing in a line up at the Post Office.
Phoning our Service provider (hi Speed) is a waste of time and so I wanted to do this post so that I can go to my boss with a game plan set out.
But I certainly have to know what I am talking about.
We are talking about 12 of these Routers being faulty.
I look forward to comments,
Thankyou
