these are my Poser tribulations, certainly not the easiest program....
I worked with the model Jessi, I applied an oil painting backgroung for both image.

image#1

Picture number #2. This is the one I like best! angel.gif

Wow very nice, I like the oil painting effect too.

Chachazz
Uguel that's beautiful work, especially #2; it's very nice. Poser, I hear, is a very challenging program, to say the least gal_busy.gif
Uguel
thanks Chachazz, yes, right, it is quite a challenge to work with it. You have to do LOTS of tricks
to get things straight. Once I was done, I thought that I will not open it before a week or two!
Uguel
Here's a l'il imp I made recently....this is only a cropped part from the original image that is much bigger than that.

odidio
Wow, looks fantastic Uguel.

Very nice work.

It's fantastic Uguel! yourock.gif

Heya Uguel

I can't find words that will honour your work....

BRILLIANT, GREAT, WONDERFUL....

Tell me please, do you produce comic-like paintings too?

Uguel
Thank you all! I started to like making images that have faeries, pixies and massive trees around. It makes a change from reality.

Thank you. hello.gif
Yes, I did in the past. Now I am more like a figurative painter. I make paintings that describe reality
without being too realistic either. They look a bit like the images I sent here but without the pixies or elves in it.
My hubby would rather see me painting than making computer images for he likes more real paintings and finds computer graphics
are a waste of time since they are not "real"... I use to tell him "wait!" I can make a painting of it later ..."
but I usually end up doing another computer image instead....Das ist immer dasselbe Theather!!! LOL
Uguel
Here are a few more I made recently...

Uguel
...again Victoria 4 with her summer dress!
I sent this one as a thumbnail not to overload the thread too much.

Uguel
....a similar one! angel.gif

Hardhead
Wow Uguel

Those are so kewl.
I love them.
Uguel
Thanks Hardhead! I haven't got the knack of it yet but I enjoy making simple l'il scenes like these. hello.gif

OMG.gif

Terrific looking works Uguel.

Are the backgrounds also made in/with Poser ?

yourock.gif
Uguel
Thanks Odidio, yes, everything was made in Poser. The hardest part was positioning things properly
and make the best light I could.
Uguel
I made a l'il witch for Halloween. I am pretty proud of that one for I created the pose and the light myself.
The clothes and the pumpkins were bought at DAZ3D.

Chachazz
I like it! the lighting must be tricky and it's very impresive;

Halloween again guy_dancin.gif
Uguel
Hey. thanks Chachazz! The pose was a bit hard to do and the lighting took about 5 renders before I got satisfied with it.
Here's a default Poser lightning for comparison...... I took the crops away for they were not looking good in the pic.

Uguel
The Green Elf... probably holding Sir Gawain's sword :)

Stem
Hi Ugual,

Are you having a pose?,... sorry, could not resist.

QUOTE (Uguel)
The Green Elf...
I like this image very much.

With respect:
The "witch for Halloween", this, I see the character as a little too much like a "plastic doll" certainly with the skin tone. I have not used "Poser",... it is possible to change the settings for the characters skin?

Regards,
Uguel
Lol, yes, I'm still at it. The program is not called Poser for nothing,
it's an invite for all "posers" around the net to get the program and exhibit their stuff. lol!

Good question. The model that is used here, Aiko, is an anime and the animes usually look more cartoonish
in general. Of course, there are ways to have her skin looks more like the real skin colour or so. Generally
what people do is buy others models specially made for her that have more realistic skin tones& textures and once they uploaded Aiko
in the scene, they go to the library and they select the character they want and attribute it to Aiko.

But I must confess I haven't miss much with the skin tones and lights for I did not have the time enough.
Notice that I can also go at DAZ forum and ask for tips, they usually answer most of your questions.
And right now, the thing that give me (and many other Poser/DAZ users) difficulties is the "poke through" issues we have
with the clothes....like I had here...Sometimes, the clothes also tear up when moving your character!!!

How weird is that?...lol There are a few tricks to avoid that, parameters dials or hiding body parts
and in the end it can take a fairly amount of time to correct this especially when you are not very familiar with the program. ;)
Uguel
Oh, and I am glad that you liked the green elf, thanks! It is on Flickr right now and I am getting lots of comments. :)
... it's good for the "Poser" in me, lol!!!
odidio
Holy c#@*, The Green Elf is fantastic.

Nice work.

yourock.gif

Pretty cute looking witch, LOL.
I like the lighting you used much better, looks great.
Uguel
Hey, thanks Odidio!...right, the witch in post #21 has the default Poser light and as you can see it was rather grayish, dull.
I think I did a l'il better in post #19. I wanted a night effect so I opted for a dark blue light. :)
Uguel
I am working on this image (smaller pic for the forum) I was thinking of adding rats in the pic that will be close to the factory....
if you have any other suggestion on what I might add to improve the scene, just let me now.
