Hi Ilya,
I have read bellgamin post. He suggests some usefull user interface improvements. I also have a suggestion.
In the file and registry section:
Remove and erase more or less mean the same in English, therefore I suggest you change the terminology as follows:
- allow = old remove, meaning I allow the entry in the registry or alow the file/program to be kept on my PC
- delete = old erase, meaning delete the entry from the registry or the file/program from my PC
- allow all = old remove all
- delete all = old roll back
Please make clear on the screen that:
- after delete the registry entry or the file will be deleted!
- after accept the file will still keep its current (untrusted) status and that you have to go to the add/remove
section to change the status of the file/program

- delete all = old roll back
I would prefer "rollback", because it is one item mouse selection function.

With tooltips or somehow else?

Ilya you are right about the rollback, being a one click action. But this is from the IT point of view.
Rollback is an IT term, meaning rolling back the (data base or OS) to an earlier state, undoing changes.
Only having two types of actions with two scopes (one or all), would make it easier for the average user.
With your application intended for the average user, I should stick to using terms form the user point of view.
Tool tips are fancy, also when the user presses the okay button, you can ask for a confirmation and use this pop-up to explain the actions.
Also below the screen you have OK, Cancel and Accept. I think OK and Cancel are enough (think of Bellgamin). I had to find for myself also the first time I used it.
When designing a GUI - terminology it is important you determine what point of view to use.
For instance the old remove takes the point of view of the list displayed, while erase takes the point of view what will happen with the files/entry displayed on the list. Roll back takes the point of view of the state of the system.
For you that is obvious because you have designed the application. For Bellgamin apperently not.
In general when you take one point of view a GUI becomes more transparent to use.
Hiding functions (like blocking from starting, and adding default values) under other buttons makes an application more difficult to use (in the add/remove untrusted). By the way Add/remove untrusted is a good user point of view of this tab.
Onother question why is the file registry not also a tab? (now a button)? When this action is so important (as if the close all untrusted button), give some extra explanation on the main screen. Now you are telling people in forums that to be sure to get rid of key-loggers, you will need to press "close all untrusted".
