Hello djm

I assume you're using a WLAN adapter or a WLAN adapter card which is causing that problem:

Actually, I'm on a college Ethernet network; but I get wireless access in my dorm room. So I'm connected to two networks simultaneously. I'm using a Linksys Wireless B Notebook adapter, and just updated the driver on it yesterday. Should I still post a Hijack-This log?

well, would have been bit cleverer if you would have told us about updating the adapter. We would have gone a complete other direction  .

I would download the update device driver for that adapter and then uninstalling it completely. After a reboot and a check if everythings working fine again I would go for a HJT-log. I have told you the needed details in my last post. This is necessary to be sure that your system has no infection.

Depending on the result of your HJT-log I would try a new installation. Often a system can cause unexpected problems with updating a device driver.
