Hi all,

Out of the blue when I tried to open my Microsoft Excel, it gives me the following error message:

"Please enter a valid product key to use this product - setup has detected that the product key is missing or invalid."

The product key is not missing and a tech. support guy at Microsoft assured me that the product key was valid, but would not help in any other way.

Has anyone seen this problem before and, if so, do you know what steps I can take to fix it?

Unfortunately I cannot find the original Office XP disks. I know they would help, but I'm not sure where they are.

Please advise,

Thank You
Jon

Sorry for responding so late. This happens when you're not entering a valid product key still waiting til the "trail time" is over. It's the same procedure like you have to enter a valid XP product key for activating the product.

In fact that we can't proof if you have a valid licence I am sorry to tell you that we can't give you more help than the official Microsoft home support.

B. Udo
