I have a router and I can't configure it's settings. I have a game, Warcraft, and I want to host games online but I can't and most people are saying it's because of my router and I don;t know how to configure it.

Router:
Belkin
Model- FD57230-4

If you could help, it would be appreicated.

sorry for responding so late, but I'd to check for some details.

* 1 Have you had a look at the related manual for that router how to set up that box?

* 2 What kind of connection are you trying to route?

* 3 What Operating System is running on your server (if there is one)?

* 4 How many gamers should access that box simultaniously?

That ports 6112, 3724, and 6881 up to 6999 are open when using a firewall. How to open/close ports please refer to your manual which was delivered with the router/firewall.

Please check if the option hardware checksumming is disabled. You can reach that option via

Control Panel -> Network connections -> "Lan-Connections" -> right klick -> Properties

At top you should see your network adapter and a button called "CONFIGURATE".
Choose the tab called "Enhanced Settings" and look for "Hardware Checksumming" - DEACTIVATE it !!
