I've used V6.5 and that was very good especially with large files, for me this is better than Diskeeper.
Not had chance to check out the new release yet.

Power Defragmenter GUI is a friendly user interface designed for use with Sysinternals 'Contig' defragmenter.

Contig is a very powerful defragmentation application designed for Windows NT/2000/XP operating systems.
Contig works on NT 4.0 and higher. Contig can be used to defrag an existing file, or to create a new file of a specified size and name, optimizing its placement on disk. Contig uses standard Windows defragmentation APIs so it won't cause disk corruption, even if you terminate it while its running.

Contig uses the native Windows NT defragmentation support that was introduced with NT 4.0 (see documentation of the defrag APIs for more information). It first scans the disk collecting the locations and sizes of free areas. Then it determines where the file in question is located. Next, Contig decides whether the file can be optimized, based on free areas and the number of fragments the file currently consists of. If the file can be optimized, it is moved into the free spaces of the disk. Get Contig - here.

Defrag

-d N Set debug level to N. Default is 2, highest is 5.
-h Show help.
volume For example 'C:'. Default is all volumes.

Defrag is a commandline utility that will run in a black textbox. Messages will scroll by until the utility has finished. You can stop the utility at any time by pressing CTRL-C, or BREAK, or ALT-F4, or by closing the window.

WinDefrag

WinDefrag will show a full-screen map of the harddisk. Bottom of the screen is the begin of the harddisk. The map refreshes once per second. Black is empty, dark-green is in use, green is defragmented, yellow is fragmented, red is unmovable, white is busy. You can stop the utility at any time by pressing ALT-F4 or by closing the window

Fast optimization
Move files down. This optimization strategy is very suitable for day-to-day use. It moves a minimum of data on the harddisk and finishes very quickly, but will not fill all the holes on the disk. The strategy scans for free holes on the disk and fills them with files that fit from above.
Slow optimization

Enlarge gaps. This optimization strategy is for incidental use once in a while. It takes a lot of running time and data movement because it tries to fill all the free holes on the disk. The strategy is the same as fast optimization, plus gaps are enlarged when they cannot be completely filled by moving the file just above the gap away.

The picture of the disk could do with some work as it's very messy.

WinContig Command-line switches

WinContig accepts a number of optional command-line switches that you can use to control how the program operates.


IMPORTANT NOTES

Switches are not case sensitive, so, for example, /CLOSE is the same as /close.
When using multiple switches, separate them with a blank space. For example, use the following command line to load a profile and start the file defragmentation:

WinContig /DEFRAG /PROF:"c:\datas\profile.wcp"


Below is the list of the WinContig switches.

/ANALYZE Starts automatically the analisys of the files listed in a profile. The /PROF: switch is required with the /ANALIYZE switch.

/CLOSE Used to automatically close WinContig after it has completed the defragmenting process. This option performs the same function as selecting the Option | Close program when finished defragmenting menu option.

/DEFRAG Starts automatically the defragmentation of the files listed in a profile. The /PROF: switch is required with the /DEFRAG switch.

/DUP Allows duplicate entries in the file list. This option performs the same function as deselecting the Options | Do not allow duplicate entries menu option. WinContig does not allow duplicate entries in the file list as default. When using the /DUP switch, WinContig adds files to the file list faster. This option is useful if you want to load a very big profile faster and you are confident there are no duplicate entries in the profile.

/FULLROW Turns full row selection on. This option performs the same function as selecting the Options | Select full row menu option.

/NOPROMPT Used to turn confirmation messages off. This option performs the same function as selecting the Options | Show Confirmation messages menu option.

/NOSCROLL Turns scroll of the files off when WinContig performs an analysis process or a defragmenting process. This option performs the same function as selecting the Auto scroll menu option from the contextual menu of the file list.

/QUICK Used to turn off optimizations during the defragmenting process (i.e. it will not try to fill the gaps and it will not try to partially defragment the files that it's not possibile to totally defrag). This allows to complete the defragmenting process quicker. This option performs the same function as selecting the Options | Defragmenting strategy | Quick menu option.

/NOCHECKDISK Does not check volumes for errors prior to defragmenting the files. This option performs the same function as selecting the Options | Do not check volumes for errors menu option.

/PROF:"profile" Used to load the profile profile.

IMPORTANT NOTES
You must specify the full path of the profile
You must enclose the full path of the profile in quotation marks ("")

For example, use the following command line to load the profile data.wcp located in c:\profiles:

WinContig /PROF:"c:\profiles\data.wcp"

/ONTOP Makes the WinContig main window topmost (above all other windows). This option performs the same function as selecting the Options | Stay on top menu option.

/SHUTDOWN Used to shutdown the computer after WinContig has completed the defragmenting process. This option performs the same function as selecting the Options | Shutdown when finished defragmenting menu option.
