I have a Microsoft word file that I can't seem to run as Trusted. Microsoft Word without any file loaded is Trusted, but as soon as I load this particular file - the status becomes Untrusted. Neither Word or the shortcut to the file are in the untrusted applications list. I removed all folders from the Untrusted list as well. It doesn't seem to matter if I load this file using the shortcut on my desktop or if I first load Word and use File -> Open. Whats going on?

Well, the problem with Microsoft Office is that it runs all the files within one process. That is why it is impossible to implement "run as trusted" feature for MS Office files. Sorry. You need remove "untrusted" attribute from the file you want to run as trusted- this will works 100%.

The File Properties are: Trusted, Non-Secured, Not Allowed to be Modified by Untrusted, but it still runs as untrusted....?

Hm, that is strange. It should be runned as trusted. What is the version of DefenseWall do you use?

Ah, then I know what could be the cause of problems. Try the latest beta version of DefenseWall v2.0. In case if it still will flags Office as untrusted- mail me to support [at] softsphere [dot] com and I'll start work closer with this issue.

The Beta version 2.0 Ver 5 works fine. No problems opening file as a trusted document. Thanks!
