hi i have tried a few times in the past to load quicktime on to my machine but every time i do it must conflict with some thing because i get a whole host of run errors tis was fine because i just run a quicktime alternative with no problems. i loaded appples i tune the other day and ended up with similar problems but it also loads quicktime when you download it tried unistaling quicktime but that didn't stop the problems so removed the whole thing and computer ran fine again. only problem is now the missus has brought an i pod so need i tunes. anyone got any ideas before she goes made and jumps on the computer!!!

Itunes have recently released a new version and some updates. Try reinstalling Itunes and tell us if this issue returns.

Are U running Vista?
If not I would try a system restore back to when you had no problems and try updating ITunes again. Be sure to make a backup before you do.

My problem is similar but with mine it is a Kodak easyshare camera which uses an older verision of quicktime and
the new verision which came with Itunes. When I try to open the new quicktime or any movies from the Kodak camera it reboots the PC I have re-installed the Itune I have removed the quicktime, I have used a earlier verision of quicktime and quicktime alt. It does not fix the problem What can I do? Thanks!

What OS are you runnig, Vista or XP?

Thanks TheSentinel------- I am using XP;it is also crashing when I just click on the Quicktime Icon. (I am now running my old version of quicktime with much more success... ) but the Itunes needs a newer version.I had the same trouble with an updated Google Earth so I removed it.I have removed all of Kodak software at one point and the new QT did not still work, could there be something conflicting elsewhere?I will check that Kodak website in the meanwhile...Merry Christmas!
