Hi All


I am new to this forum, I have a question ? I am on site were they are using BGPv4 for fail over is there a security weakness in this deployment or in BGP as I have looked but can not find a security weakness in BGP.

* Can you tell us the complete URL of the mentioned website? Internal Network and VPN term
* What is your goal with your request? I don not agree with using BGP as it is a routing protocol and the firewalls cannot them selves cannot perform fail-over
* What is BGP standing for? Boardway Gateway Protocol


I am trying to prove it is not good to use BGP if firewalls cant fail over use I would use HSRP
