Ok I just reformatted my comp and I don't wanna repeat the same mistake and get my comp f'd up again. I just need some security suggestions.

What firewall do you suggest that is decently good?

What spyware detector do you think is also decently good?

A decently good virus scanner?

Well thanks for reading.

PS: I need free programs I can dl.

Note: In some cases it will depend on what you find eaisest for U to use and also what OS U are using. Also it's a good idea to stay away from nasty sites that will give U problems as U have found out.

I've decided to choose this comodo firewall, to try it out because McAfee is kinda unreliable to me. Speaking of McAfee I don't trust their virus scanner either is there one that is more reliable? Well before I reformatted my comp I was using avg virus scanner. Do you think avg is decently good?

Thank you so much I really appreciate your help. yourock.gif

I used the Freeware version of AVG and liked it. Also used the other 2 that Chachazz mentioned. So here again a matter of what U like...Just run 1 A/V program so there will be no conflict..

Regards the Firewall I used Comodo Firewall and had no problems with it..

Main thing to help protect U is make sure that U keep everything updated..Operating system, Browsers etc.

Regards Online Scanners might check here:
