winPenPack now also here!

"We are proud to announce that from January the 8th, our winPenPack project is hosted also here by SourceForge.

In the winpenpack section, still work in progress, at this moment. You can find 5 winPenPack 3.3 official releases (in ZIP and EXE format), all relative documentation (guide) and launcher only, ready to download.

We invite you to have a look to this new SourceForge project. Here we will include exclusively Free Software, released under Open Source licenses. "

Why winPenPack now is "Open"?

1)As previoulsy announced, now all 5 winPenPack official editions include exclusively Free Software, released under OPEN SOURCE licenses. This solution is originated to promote free portable software growth and diffusion. WinPenPack can be used, copied, redistributed under terms and in accordance with new license.

2) For a detailed reference of all deleted, added and/or updated programs, please refer to specific programs comparison chart, downloadable from the download section (bold names are related to items modified with respect to 3.2 release).

3) For this reason, winPenPack "Expert", including mainly "Freeware" and "Freeware for personal use" software, from now will be discontinued and neither developed nor distributed. Anyway, as soon as possible we will release (under Freeware license) an upgrade pack, containing all winPenPack Expert programs able to be integrated in winPenPack 1Gb (so, in compliance with new license).

4)From this release we prepared also a new winPenPack "Game", containing portable games Open Source.

5) From this edition has been integrated also the new winPenPack menu, already available in separate download. This version now allows to automatically import X-Softwares, through "Install X-Software" option, downloaded from our download section, making very easy to personalize user's collections.
