I am trying to install the newest software for my Zune. I download the install file to my pc and when I run the program, I get the following error:

ERROR

An error occurred during setup. Operation'CInstallOperation::StartOperation' has returned error '0x080040154'.

Class not registered.

Error Code: 0x080040154

I have a Windows XP Home Edition SP2. I have tried to install all the updates necessary but I still can't figured out why I get the error.

Please advice, thank you.

Btw. Is that Zune good? We in Europe can't buy Zunes :(. Would be great if you can tell us about your experiences with that box.

Thanks for the response. I tried the solutions suggested in the sites you recommended, but I still get the same error. If you have anymore suggestion I would appreciate it.

To answer your question about the Zune. The actual player is great. It sounds great and the display is big and clear. My only complaint is with the installation software. I have ahd various problems installing it and of course now upgrading it. I recommend getting it when it is available to you in Europe, just be prepared to be a bit frustrated with the software.
