There are a number of programs that I run, and I notice that they are defined as Untrusted.
A program that I use all the time is Foxit Reader. I have that defined as my default Pdf reader, rather than Adobe Reader. I also have Nuance Pdf Creator installed, so you can see that pdf files are very important in the way I use the computer.
I have noticed that when I open many of my pdf files with Foxit, they are Untrusted. When I look at the list of untrusted applications, I see many pdf files, and folders containing pdf files in the list.
It seems, though, that those files are ones that I have received from my fax program. This is an Internet-based fax service, which actually sends documents that have been sent to me by different clients from their fax machine to enter my system as attachments to email messages. It is those pdf files that appear to be untrusted.
I also use Fine Print. This program is installed just like any printer, and it allows you to control many print output functions before it spools off to a physical printer. I have it installed as the default printer. So when I Print (e.g. Ctrl-P) it comes up with its own choices, etc, after which it sends the job to the actual LaserJet printer or Dell printer, or even to a couple of PDF printers that I also have installed.
I have noticed that when it prints any of the pdf files that came through my Internet fax provider, it is defined as Untrusted. This is so, even though Fine Print has been on my computer for many years, and was there before I installed Defense Wall. As was Foxit Reader.
My questions:
1. How do I remove all those faxes, pdf files, and folders from the list of untrusted applications?
2. How can I let Foxit and Fine Print read or use all those files as Trusted rather than Untrusted?
3. What does it actually mean that those files or print jobs are untrusted?
