Hello everyone, I have a laptop with vista and have a few issues:

1) I have it set to hibernate when i close the lid... I like being able to open the lid with quick access to the computer so i do not turn it off everyday/night.. Anyhow every night around 2:00 - 3:00 am it attempts to turn on and is on the pogon screen when i get up every morning.. i have looked and looked for software that may be setup to check updates everynight and etc. with no luck.. Any ideas how I can tell what is causing it to turn on?

2) When coming out of hibernation it requires me to click the logon button even though I have no password. Is there a way around that? Is it advised to use a system password?

3) This laptop has 3 gigs of ram and i forget the processor but it is a centrino duo... Anyhow this thing is slower than my older laptop that has 512 meg ram and slow old processor running xp... Are there any tweaks that can be performed to speed the performace of this computer..

4) i have a lan network at home and a wireless N router The wireless router is wireless N on my laptop as well.. the home pc is directly plugged into the router with a 10/100 card.. When transferring files from the laptop to the desktop the transfers go rather slow.. Actually I believe it said it was going at 1.9 MBs... Shouldnt it be faster?

Thank you for your time reading and in advance for any help you may offer...
