Initial observations of running this AV;

Very lightweight Guard as it has virtually no discernible effect on system performance; clear GUI; detection appears to be very good on my malware collection; frequent daily updates. BUT on-demand scan speed can be very slow if you have a lot of archived, particularly CAB, files. I am impressed so far and this is an AV to definitely keep an eye on for the future.

90-day free trial and then a "lifetime" one-off license fee of $30.

I have ran this AV for well over a month now and I have had no problems with it.

A very lightweight Guard is its main strength however care needs to be taken with false positives which it can throw up at times.

Overall, it still needs to be officially tested at several sites before I would recommend this AV as a primary scanner.

Several sites? Not yet. Thus far I have seen only one test of Twister -- namely, at THIS site. (They refer to Twister by its proponent name -- "Filseclab".)

Notice how well Twister did on "dynamic" detection. Reason: in addition to its antivirus engine & heuristics, Twister has two additional components: (1) a behavior-blocker-HIPS called "Filseclab Dynamic Defense System" (FDDS), & (2) a registry protection module.

Twister seems to be an interesting security *package* -- bears watching.

Twister was tested again. December 2008 -- same test outfit same alias (Filseclab), splendid score.
