How to: Add 'Copy to' and 'Move to' to Vista Explorer Context Menu:
Backup the Registry first (Erunt is good) and follow these steps exactly:
1. XP: Start -> Run -> type: regedit | Vista: Start -> type: regedit (in search box)
2. Enter
3. Click Continue button for UAC prompt.(Vista)
4. In regedit, go to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellx\ContextMenuHandlers
5. To Add Copy To Folder -
i) In the left pane, right click on ContextMenuHandlers and click on New -> Key; Rename it: Copy To
ii) Right click on (Name)Default ->Modify: Type {C2FBB630-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13} and press Enter.
NOTE: To Remove Copy To Folder - Right click on this key and click Delete.
6. To Add Move To Folder -
i) In the left pane, right click on ContextMenuHandlers and click New -> Key: Rename it: Move To
ii) Right click on (Name)Default ->Modify: Type {C2FBB631-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13} and press Enter.
NOTE: To Remove Move To Folder - Right click on this key and click Delete.
7. Close regedit.
Backing up the Registry is an important part of keeping your computer secure and running efficiently. Modifying any portion of the Registry should be done with the utmost care as incorrect usage of the Registry could make your computer inoperable.
