This is an additional "Call Home" service not to be confused with Windows Genuine Advantage(WGA)- Your Windows already goes through 'verification' everytime it contacts Windows/Microsoft Update for updates.

This shows up as "Critical" update...do not be intimidated...it's not a critical fix and can possibly flag your legitimate product as "illegal"...see the consequences of the new WGA tool and more info plus screenshots
