Some of our readers may remember about infectios with the CIH virus. Well Heise Online Security reports at Mar 26, 2009 about a proofed method which describes how to implementae rootkits in the BIOS of PCs.
This was discussed and demonstrated at the CanSecWest security conference. Researchers from Core Security Technologies, an Argentine IT security firm demonstrated a scenario how to write rootkits in the flash of a PC BIOS.
