I'm trying to print my e-mails, but I can't. I know it works when I run my e-mail program as trusted, but it is rather inconvenient to close my e-mail program, re-run it as trusted and then print my e-mails. Is there any way to print e-mails even though my e-mail program always runs as untrusted?
I was trying to reproduce this problem. Here's my log:

Interesting. Could you, please, check if the .tmp file is within "File and Registry Protection Excludes" list during the print session?

OK, I assume, we should check the application that creates this .tmp file into the temporary folder. Could you download and run Process Monitor
http://download.sysinternals.com/Files/ProcessMonitor.zip (download, change its status to trusted, unzip and run with administrative privileges). I need to know the process that creates this .tmp file.
P.S. I really doubt reinstalling will helps.
P.P.S. Is there any ability to reproduce the issue at my test machines? I mean to get this printing software.

Just a short reply before I go for today.
What exactly do you want me to do with Process Monitor?
Well, this printing software is part of some kind of suite (rather bloated). I haven't got a clue what files or folders are needed for printing. It's also a scanner and a copying machine. Hm...
PS: It's hard to imagine I'm the only DW user who cannot print his e-mails using Windows Mail. Strange, really strange (and also very annoying, to say the least).

Yes, I have had such the reports in the past, but they all gone long time before. Don't worry, the issue will be fixed up. In fact, for me more important even to to fix the issue, but to understand what is going on there to prevent this happening in the future.
As about Process Monitor- I just need to find the process that creates .tmp file within your temporary folder. So, just log every single file creation activity (there is a powerful set of filters within, you can set it up this way) and, by getting current .tmp file name from DW's log, find the process that creates it.

Thanks for your explanation, Ilya. I think now I'm beginning to understand.

As soon as I'm back home tonight I will try to find out what's going on with this .tmp file. BTW, is there any way to filter the entries in Process Monitor, so that only this .tmp file is listed? If not, it may take ages to find it. Again, thanks for your help. Much appreciated, as always.

Yes, but we will get its name only with DW's log entry. There is a Ctrl-F search tool with Process Monitor, you need to use it to find the entry.

Running Process Monitor and Windows Mail simultaneoulsy seems to be an impossible thing to do. As soon as PM is running, WM either doesn't open at all or I get an error message, telling me that it cannot print my e-mail due to some error. Is there any other program that I can use instead of Process Monitor? Thanks.

After C:\ format I reinstalled my programs (with the exception of DW). Things were running as smoothly as before. Then I also reinstalled DW, just to find out whether this problem still exists or not. Unfortunately, this problem still exists, so I had to uninstall DW again. DW does not seem to be compatible with either Windows Mail and/or my printer software. Well, it seems as if I will have to look for an alternative HIPS (even though I hate it because I always liked DW. Well, it can't be helped.

DefenseWall is fully compatible with Windows Mail. The only issue here is your printer driver software and it, possible, can by bypassed. First, you need to check the final pre-2.54 version of DefenseWall I just uploaded. If it doesn't helps, mail me DW's problem's logs exported one more time.

Thanks, Ilya. I will install and test version 2.54 this weekend. I don't think it will make any difference because of compatibility issues with my printer software, but at least I should give it a try, just in case.
