Yesterday, I received an error message (I'm sorry, I can't recall it) re: my McAfee AV software. Thinking it was from an earlier problem, I removed it, and attempted to download it from the McAfee site; no joy. In fact, I can't bring up any McAfee pages on my Dell laptop. I can access the website from my wife's Mac, and yesterday, when I called McAfee, I couldn't get a straight answer about what the problem was. On some other forum, someone claimed that McAfee had been hacked over the weekend. I had to buy the AV module for my Spyware Doctor to have some modicum of AV protection, and this morning, I still can't access the website. More disturbing; I was able to get to the website using my cellphone's browser. I'm thinking I got hit with something but have no idea where to start looking. Any thoughts?

http://gladiator-antivirus.com/forum/index.php?showforum=170Hi,Chachazz. Well, I downloaded the Combofix, and that seems to have worked (can get back to McAfee). What was the problem? Malware?

The full instructions should be followed - which is to then post in the forum and let our expert review your system and logs... ComboFix is not for causual use...it's a powerful tool only to be used under guidance of a trained expert.
