A few days ago I installed 2.55 on Xp and the installation went very smoothly. To tell the truth, I was amazed at how easy this went and how the program is working out of the box straight away
I have not noticed any interference with my normal operations on the pc either - however since I installed DW my shutdown of the pc at the end of the day appears to be problematic. It either takes ages or seems to get stuck somewhere saving my settings without completing. I realise that this is not much information but could this be related to DW as the problem is new and only occurred since installing the program. i don't run any other hips on this pc - only Avast for AV and Returnil mostly in protected mode.

You have to contact me via support e-mail, I'll send you test drivers set to find out what is wrong. As far as I know, anti-virus scanners may cause interferrention problems on shutdown.
If you can, could you check the application trigger this slow shutdown? For instance, right after boot it's fine, but if you run MS Word, it became slow. So, Word is the trigger (for example!!!).

thanks Ilya,
I will pm you with my details.
As for the programs involved immediately before, with the current shut down issue I am not sure which programs to "blame". Most likely it was Opera or MYOB (Australian Accounting software) but of course some programs always run in the background.
I suffered a freeze twice now and noticed that in both cases DW became red. Last nights freeze coincided with Opera causing a resource isolation with the following info: attempt to open protected file...mozilla\firefox\plugins. One earlier log show up for the windows\ hh.exe trying to open ctfmon.exe though I don't remember if this caused a freeze of my pc.

Just a Thank You to Ilya for sorting out the shut down issue.
I appreciate your patience with you users like me that are not IT professionals and your dedication to your program. When choosing a software program, users have usually different options but a helpful forum and developer that participates always impresses me.
