Hello,

I know that The Microsoft Update with Windows Start Menu will run Internet Explorer 'As trusted' in order to install all updates successfully.

Should I take precautions for the automatic updates (without using Internet Explorer in Start Menu)?

Are the process used in the automatic updates all Trusted?
andro
I think, there is no such need to use Automatic Updates.
Sacles
Why? It is important to have a OS with the last patches.

Personally, I know when there are updates but I would have the answer for somebody to whom I could advise to use DW.

I agree with this. But updates (patches) are released quite rarely, so one can use Windows Update (manually) periodically, for example, once per month.

Yes, I known, but it is not for me.

There are many OS that are not updated because the updates are not automatic.

If you run MS Updates with its link at Main Menu, DW will automatically run it as trusted. Other case, you have to run IE trusted manually and go for updates.

Yes, I know it (see my first message).

But during the automatic updates, Internet Explorer does not open. It is probably another process (there is a yellow icon in the systray indicating that updates are ongoing).

During these updates automatically, is it not better to disable DW?

No. Automatic updates are working within trusted zone already and not affected by DW.
