Hi Ilya,
Since the door has been opened I will step through and ask the question.....how long before a public release, beta or otherwise??
Thanks,

Right now, it depends on how long skinning library will be under development. Unfortunately, it's out of my control.

Yes, it's much better then v2.xx builds. Also, it brings up new, innovative, revolutionary firewall protection approaches.

Currently, it's under tests of the DW users who are with me for a long time and actively participating. Don't worry- I'll give other users enough time to play with public beta.

My speed is also 2Mbit/s and I can only confirm what Ilya wrote - no problems here with uTorrent, CPU usage is still on the same low level (as before running uTorrent) without any high spikes - tested few minutes ago. Good job Ilya, as always

2Mbit is not very high speed,100Mbit is high,on 100Mbit with utorrent-Outpost using about 8-12% of my cpu,ZA Pro about 15-20%,Sygate Pro about 18-25%,OA Pro 10-15%,and only Look'n'stop and Comodo about 0-1% cpu...

PS: When aproximately is the version 3 coming out?
Hope- October if everything goes fine.
Just one question. If I'm not mistaken, version 3 will include a firewall. Will this firewall be compatible with other firewalls? I'm currently using Avira's Security Suite, which includes a firewall. Will I have to disable the firewall in DW or can I use both firewalls simulateneously? I do hope DW will be fully compatible with other security apps.

i did cause it is old technologgy which is not up to date againts malware, firewall adds more confusion to my familly whose always get scare to see firewall pop up,i love the simplicity of DW plus pc runs way faster,i did a test and i put an antivirus software and Dw and for more than a week and the antivirus pick up what it recognize leaving some nasty stuff i easilly deleted with Dw roll back,
note:some malware were runing in my system and the antivirus was greeny saying my system was secure when in fact was not,so dont really trust them anymore,i put an effort to learn how to use the rollback feature and to say that very nicelly remove malware myself"good for me":)now i am testing DW personal firewall and i am training everybody here how to proper answer a Dw firewall pop up,it is very simple ligth and strong:)

jjmonge, I have always believed in a layered approach to security, and nothing's going to change that in the foreseeable future. At least for the time being, I do believe that anti-virus software is essential, and so is a firewall. Running all my security apps simultaneously has never caused any problems, so there is absolutely no reason for me to get rid of them. It goes without saying that I don't want to miss DW, either. I love this app.

i also belive in layer but i personally dont use some thing midiocre as antivirus, and yes they are very helpfull and usefull but how many times did i clean infected computers with real time antivirus running:):)now i tell you yes i believe in layer protection on top of DW i also use a hips program to complement DW real time protection, and i know that DW alone is more than enough but just to feal litle paranoid i run a clasical hips program:)

If the skin is the only thing holding up the public beta, I don't think your current users care too much if that is missing.
