Microsoft's 'browser ballot' plan gets the green light

Regulators give thumbs up to scheme to let users pick their own browser

Microsoft's plan to offer new Windows users a choice of browser - the so-called browser ballot screen - has been approved by the EC.
Market testing will now go ahead for the ballot, which was created in response to EC antitrust concerns over the bundling of IE with Windows.
