There is no difference, in fact, if the sstem is XP or Vista (or any else). If you already enter the password, DW cache it in order to do not ask it every time. If DW do not asks you about password at all and allow to run as trusted, you didn't set up password properly. Re-check if you can exit DW's GUI without entering any password with Vista.

If you ones enter the password, DW will not ask you again. What's the reason to enter it over and over again if you already confirmed your personality?

the point of having a password is so my son or whoever doesnt right click on ie or ff and run as trusted and download or run whatever they want.thats the reason why you have password protection?so no one messes with the settings?what would be the point of defenewall if they can just run anything as trusted ?i entered a new password in the administrator account then rebooted, signed in the standard account and right clicked ie and ff selected run trusted and was not asked for a password?i did not enter the password into defensewall using the standard account but yet i can run anything i want as trusted without entering the password that i set in defensewall using the admin account?

OK, I need step by step guide to reproduce the issue. If you could make a small movie to show me your activity, that would be just great.
Also, I need to know if you have HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SoftSphere Technologies\DefenseWall\ParentalControl registry key at the problem computer.

sorry for the late reply, ill try to explain the issue step by step becaues a movie is way beyond me with computers.
i downloaded and installed dwall on vista using the administrator account-created a password with the same admin account-rebooted pc and logged into the standard windows account and when i go and disable dwall i can without it asking for the password?i created a password in dwall in the admin account so i can keep whoever from disabling dwall in the windows standard account. hope this helps i attached a screenshot of that registry key you asked about, thanks

OK, according the screenshot, DW didn't save the password. That's strange as there are two ways for DW to save it under the admin account- via driver and via direct registry modification. So, you have to mail me to the support address and I'll send you an executable with debug output back. That's the only way to find out what is wrong.
