Removing Norton AntiVirus 2005 from Windows XP/2000 after Add/Remove Programs does not work
To completely remove Norton AntiVirus 2005
To completely remove all of the program, you must uninstall Norton AntiVirus using Windows Add/Remove Programs. To do this after a failed uninstall requires that you follow the steps in this document first to remove most of the program, then reinstall Norton AntiVirus, and finally uninstall again using Add/Remove Programs. Follow the steps in each section:

Reinstall Norton AntiVirus
After following the steps in this document, you must reinstall the program. For detailed instructions, read the document that applies to how you received Norton AntiVirus:
Installing Norton AntiVirus 2005 from the CD
Installing Norton AntiVirus 2005 that was downloaded from the Symantec Store

Uninstall Norton AntiVirus using Add/Remove Programs
