Hi

10 years ago, 12th August 2002, Gladiator Security Forums (GSF) did start as Gladiator Antivirus Forums (GAV) first. Goal of one of the founders was, to create an Antivirus program. Coming along with that AV program, a forum for all computer related issues was build up. Lots of experts joined the crew and GAV did grow. GAV became a member of Alliance of Security Analysis Professionals? (ASAP) offering HighJack This! (HJT) help in case of malware infections. Years after joining ASAP, we decided to leave that organization due to difference about the status of free help.

Short time after the glorious startup, the programmer decided to leave GAV, joining the developer team of a well-known vendor. That was the beginning of GSF. We continued our free services but did step back from any typical AV developments, looking for new challenges on IT Security.

In 2006, a young Russian developer asked, if we could imagine to cooperate with him, making his ideas about an IDS software public. That was another milestone when Ilya Rabinovich joined the crew with his multiple awarded software of SoftSphere Technologies Support Forums. What did start as an experiment has become a solid partnership over the years.

We were in an interesting cooperation with Smokey's Security Forums for 1 year, still being in cooperation with other well-known Security Boards like
Wilders-Security, DSLR, Bleeping Computer to name few of them only.

10 years means 10 years of joining and leaving members. We could welcome lot of members, we also lost some of our best members and mates here. Lot of MS MVPs were born here, joined the crew and left it.

These 10 years brought up lot of new technical improvements. Most of all could be noticed on malware infections. Had been computers the first goal it's up to all mobile devices like Smartphones, which got on focus of malware developers. Maybe we will swap over trying to offer our help and support on that for the next years.... we will see.

My Thank you is dedicated to all, which made GSF what it is today. Also a big Thank you mates, for keeping our community alive. That includes all, especially those friends, which are taking care but staying in background.

Let's move on my friends.... there's lot to learn, figuring out and to do......

Thanks a lot for being here

Regards
