We are singing a new tune

"So here we are, Songbird is no more supporting Linux platform, so we decided to create our own version, supporting Linux first, but also Windows and Mac OS X later? We had a long debate for the name of our project, and it?s now chosen : Nightingale.

All source code will be available on a Bazaar (bzr) repository hosted by Andrew.

We have a forum (powered by FluxBB) and also a wiki (powered by DokuWiki).

Oh and hello, i?m Antoine a long-time contributor of the Songbird project, now computer science student in France."

Nightingale is brought to you by a small band of Songbird community members who decided to extend Songbird into a community oriented project, which is focused on delivering an entirely open sourced media player with greater support for other platforms.

Songbird 1.7b1 just released, and it is possible that the first release of Nightingale will be based on Songbird 1.8.
